Electric water heaters with Smart Control are METRO THERM’s classic electric water heaters in an environmentally friendly version. They are equipped with an intelligent control unit that only heats the amount of water that you need. The unit continuously monitors the household’s water consumption pattern and heats just the amount of water you need, when you need it.

This saves energy and ensures that there is always enough hot water for the entire family

Settings in Smart Control

• ECO Mode: Economy mode, where the heater heats the water independently of any stored consumption patterns. You can choose from four different comfort levels depending on how large a domestic hot water buffer you want.
• Manual setup: Four different temperature levels.
• Holiday setting: Frost-proofs the tank.
• Protection against Legionella.

The water is heated by a ceramic electric heating element that is fitted in an enamelled sleeve – preventing the accumulation of limescale on the heating element, and making the tank less prone to corrosion. The built-in thermostat controls the temperature steplessly within a range of approx. 5 to 65°C.

Electrical connection of electric water heaters

The water heaters are supplied as standard with a universal 3 kW/400 V heating element and can be directly connected to a 230 V supply, producing an output of 1 kW.
